In 2011 students and teachers from 7 European countries met in Feldkirchen at the school of social work of the University of applied Sciences to learn about the Slovene minority in Carinthia and its specific problems. The title of the EU funded program was “Different language – same culture; same language – different culture?” 2012 there was a follow up in Belfast, dealing with “the troubles” and its enormous impact on the Northern Irish society. Students and teachers were not only observers of long lasting European conflicts but also took part in the everyday life of the involved people. The most working groups are put together in this book.
