In his book, Christoph Joppich reconstructs the development of modern anti-Semitism in Argentina. Using a universal historical approach, he is able to link colonial rule, independence, nation-building, fascism, the Cold War and the present of the 21st century in an epochal way. In the process, Argentinian anti-Semitism is reinterpreted from a social theory perspective, with a particular focus on its left-wing and Israel-related manifestations, which have been little researched to date.
