The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training evaluates the collectively agreed training allowances as of 1 October each year. In 2025, trainees in companies bound by collective agreements received an average of €1,209 per month. Collectively agreed training allowances increased by 6.7 per cent. This was the highest increase since German national averages began to be calculated. A similar increase of 6.3 per cent was already measured in 2024. The high increases largely offset the losses in real remuneration, especially between 2021 and 2023.
