This book intends to shed new light on the place of the individual in the Orthodox tradition and theology, its relationship to the community, the communal understanding of the Church and the theology of personhood. Furthermore it discusses issues related to this problématique, such as the weak position of civil society in predominantly Orthodox countries or the question of pluralism and human rights.
